Del Christensen

Del Christensen is chief of Global Business Development for the Bay Area Council. He oversees the Council’s trade and investment efforts with China through its offices in Shanghai, Nanjing and Hangzhou. Del manages the  China Initiatives Program, which helps to build strong relationships for California-based companies with counterparties in China. This program created the US-China Collaboration Symposium and the 7 Provinces agreement for trade and environmental policy with the State of California.

Prior to joining the Bay Area Council, Mr. Christiansen built a successful 20-year track record in sales, business development and team leadership working for several Fortune 500 companies. He has served on the board of the 1990 Institute for four years and is also on the board of the Chinese Business Studies Initiative at USF.
