Michael Yang

Dr. Mike S. Yang is a senior executive and serial entrepreneur with a career spanning across corporate strategy, global operations, international business development, high-tech R&D, and finance.  Mike is currently the President and Corporate Chief Commercial Officers at LuxCreo Inc., a company that is reshaping manufacturing through digital 3D “production”.  Prior to founding LuxCreo, Mike was a Managing Director at Bloom Energy and the CFO of Danoo, a KPCB portfolio company in the digital media space. Mr. Yang was also a consultant at McKinsey & Co. where he spearheaded hi-tech and innovation practices in Greater China and as  a senior technical staff member at AT&T Bell Labs.

Dr. Yang is also an active professional and community member.  He serves on the boards of General Mobile, Ambassador Cinema (Taiwan), Bloom Energy International, Relon New Materials (China), and EfficientNow.  Mike received a B.A in Applied Mathematics from Harvard. He also earned a Ph.D. in Engineering Sciences (A.I. & Optimization), an M.S. in Applied Physics and an MBA degree graduate with distinction from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.  Dr. Yang has served on the Board of the 1990 Institute for over 6 years.​​
